- Leave The World Behind: a new psychological thriller film written, directed and produced by Sam Esmail. It is based on the 2020 novel of the same name by Rumaan Alam. The film stars Julia Roberts (who also produced the film), Mahershala Ali, Ethan Hawke, Myha’la, and Kevin Bacon. It follows a family whose vacation on Long Island is interrupted by two strangers bearing news of a mysterious blackout. As the threat grows more imminent, both families must decide how best to survive the potential crisis, all while grappling with their own place in this collapsing world. The film had its world premiere at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on October 25 and is releasing in limited theaters on November 22 followed by streaming on Netflix on December 8.
- Maestro: the upcoming biographical drama film that centers on the relationship between American composer Leonard Bernstein and his wife Felicia Montealegre. It is directed by Bradley Cooper, from a screenplay he wrote with Josh Singer. It was produced by Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, and Bradley Cooper, among others. The film stars Bradley Cooper as Leonard Bernstein alongside Carey Mulligan as his wife Felicia Montealegre. Matt Bomer, Maya Hawke and Sarah Silverman also star in the film. Maestro premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival, where it competed for the Golden Lion, and is scheduled for a limited theatrical release on November 22, before streaming on Netflix on December 20.
- Wicked Little Letters: a new British black comedy mystery film directed by Thea Sharrock and written by Jonny Sweet. The film stars Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley in the lead roles, along with Anjana Vasan, Malachi Kirby, Eileen Atkins and Timothy Spall. Based on a true scandal that stunned 1920s England, the story centers on neighbours Edith Swan and Rose Gooding in the seaside town of Littlehampton. One day, a series of obscene letters begin to target Edith and others, with suspicion falling upon Rose.
- The Crown season 6 Part 1: the last season of The Crown is coming. We got a first teaser for the first part of this sixth and last season which is split into two parts. The series traces the reign of Queen Elizabeth II from her wedding in 1947 to the early 21st century. The sixth season is expected to be set between 1997 and 2005 and will depict the premiership of Tony Blair, the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, the early relationship of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and the wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. Starring in this season is an ensemble cast which includes Imelda Staunton, Jonathan Pryce, Lesley Manville, Dominic West, Elizabeth Debicki, Olivia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, Bertie Carvel, Lydia Leonard, Andrew Havill, and Marcia Warren. The first four episodes of this sixth and last season are being released on Netflix on November 16, and the remaining six on December 14.
- Lisa Frankenstein: an upcoming horror comedy film written by Diablo Cody and directed by Zelda Williams in her feature-length directorial debut. The film stars Kathryn Newton, Cole Sprouse, Liza Soberano, Henry Eikenberry, Joe Chrest and Carla Gugino. Set in 1989, we follow an unpopular high school girl named Lisa who accidentally re-animates a handsome Victorian corpse during a lightning storm. She starts to rebuild him into the man of her dreams by using the broken tanning bed in her garage. The film is releasing in theatres on February 9, 2024.
- Finestkind: a new crime thriller drama film written and directed by Brian Helgeland and starring Ben Foster, Toby Wallace, Jenna Ortega and Tommy Lee Jones. It follows two estranged brothers who hatch a deal with a Boston crime syndicate, which spells danger for the brothers and their father as well as a mysterious young woman. The film premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival and will be released on Paramount+ on December 15.
- Manodrome: a new drama thriller film written and directed by John Trengove, which is his English language debut. It stars Jesse Eisenberg, Adrien Brody, Odessa Young, Sallieu Sesay, Philip Ettinger, Ethan Suplee, Evan Jonigkeit and Caleb Eberhardt. It follows Ralphie, a New York Uber driver, who is struggling to make ends meet with his pregnant partner, Sal. Ralphie is introduced to an intense all-male self-help group by a friend, and after suffering a breakdown, he descends into madness. The film premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival earlier this year and is releasing in theatres on November 10.
- Family Switch: an upcoming comedy film directed by McG, written by Adam Sztykiel and Victoria Strouse, and starring Jennifer Garner and Ed Helms as the parents alongside Emma Myers and Brady Noon as their children. It is based on the 2010 children’s book Bedtime for Mommy by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and follows the Walker family who one day switch bodies. The mom becomes the daughter and vice versa and the same happens with the dad and brother and the dog and baby. It’s a fun switching Christmas film for the whole family. The film is releasing on Netflix on November 30.
