  1. The Marvels: the newest superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the characters Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel. It’s the sequel to the film Captain Marvel and a continuation of the television series Ms. Marvel and WandaVision. The film is directed by Nia DaCosta from a screenplay she co-wrote with Megan McDonnell, Elissa Karasik, and Zeb Wells. It stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton, and Park Seo-joon. In the film, Danvers, Rambeau, and Khan begin swapping places with each other every time they use their powers and must team-up to fight against Dar-Benn who is destroying worlds to save her own planet. The film was released in theatres on November 10. I went to see it last week when it was released and loved it. This is a movie that has haters and lovers and I’m the latter one. I really enjoyed it and watched it with a big smile. Iman Vellani was especially amazing as Ms. Marvel. Brie Larson and Teyonah Parris are also great in the movie. And there are some fun cameos as well, especially at the end of the film. So don’t listen to all the critics and go see the film for yourself. You won’t regret it.
  1. The Killer: a new psychological action thriller film directed by David Fincher from a screenplay by Andrew Kevin Walker. It is based on the French graphic novel series of the same name written by Alexis “Matz” Nolent and illustrated by Luc Jacamon. Dream Scenario premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9 and was released in select theatres on November 10, it will expand on November 22.
  • Bonus: Your Lucky Day: I wanted to put this extra film in here because this film stars Angus Cloud in one of his last roles before he died this summer. This action thriller film is written and directed by Daniel Brown and is a remake of his short film of the same name from 2010. It also stars Elliot Knight, Jessica Garza, Sterling Beaumon, Mousa Hussein Kraish, Jason Wiles, Sebastian Sozzi, Spencer Garrett and Jason O’Mara. After a dispute over a winning lottery ticket turns into a deadly hostage situation, the witnesses must decide exactly how far they’ll go, and how much blood they’re willing to spill, for a cut of the 156 million dollars.
