- Society of the Snow: a new survival thriller film directed by J. A. Bayona about the Uruguayan 1972 Andes flight disaster. It is an adaptation of Pablo Vierci’s book of the same name, which documents accounts of all 16 survivors of the crash, many of whom Vierci knew from childhood. The cast is composed of Uruguayan and Argentine actors, most of whom are newcomers. The film closed the 80th Venice International Film Festival, in an Out of Competition slot and was selected as the Spanish entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards. It is releasing in theatres on December 15, before streaming on Netflix on 4 January 2024.
- Boy Swallows Universe: a new Australian coming of age limited series based on the semi-autobiographical novel of the same name by Trent Dalton. Written by John Collee, the story revolves around Eli Bell, a working-class youth who enters Brisbane’s underworld to save his mother from danger. It stars Felix Cameron as Eli Bell alongside Travis Fimmel, Simon Baker and Phoebe Tonkin. The series is releasing on Netflix on January 11, 2024.
- The Book of Clarence: a new epic biblical comedy drama film written and directed by Jeymes Samuel. It stars LaKeith Stanfield, Omar Sy, Anna Diop, RJ Cyler, David Oyelowo, Micheal Ward, Alfre Woodard, Teyana Taylor, Caleb McLaughlin, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, James McAvoy, and Benedict Cumberbatch. It follows a man named Clarence living in 29 A.D. Jerusalem, who looks to capitalize on the rise of Jesus Christ. The film is releasing in theatres on January 12, 2024.
- Night Swim: a new supernatural horror film written and directed by Bryce McGuire, and based on the 2014 short film of the same name by McGuire and Rod Blackhurst. The film stars Wyatt Russell, Kerry Condon, Amélie Hoeferle and Gavin Warren, as a family whose backyard swimming pool is haunted. James Wan and Jason Blum serve as producers. Night Swim is releasing in theatres on January 5, 2024.
- The End We Start From: a new British survival film directed by Mahalia Belo and starring Jodie Comer, Benedict Cumberbatch, Katherine Waterston and Mark Strong. It is adapted by Alice Birch from the novel of the same name by Megan Hunter. We follow a new mother and her baby who abandon their home in flooded London and flee northwards after an ecological crisis. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this year and is releasing in theatres in the United States on December 8 and in the United Kingdom on January 19, 2024.
- Griselda: a new crime drama miniseries directed by Andrés Baiz and produced by Eric Newman and Sofía Vergara. It is based on the life of Griselda Blanco, a notorious cocaine trafficker. Sofia Vergara stars as Griselda alongside Vanessa Ferlito, Alberto Guerra, Alberto Ammann, Christian Tappan, Diego Trujillo, Paulina Davila, Gabriel Sloyer, Martin Rodriguez, José Zúñiga, Maximiliano Hernández and Julieth Restrepo. The miniseries premieres on Netflix on January 25, 2024.
