Napoleon: the epic historical drama film directed and produced by Ridley Scott and written by David Scarpa. Based on the true story of Napoleon Bonaparte, the film is primarily depicting the French leader’s rise to power as well as his relationship with Empress Joséphine. It stars Joaquin Phoenix (who is also a producer) as Napoleon, alongside Vanessa Kirby, Tahar Rahim, Ben Miles, Ludivine Sagnier, Matthew Needham, Youssef Kerkour, Phil Cornwell, and Rupert Everett. Napoleon was released in theatres on November 22, but I only put it in the Six To See of this week because I had a lot of new releases already last week. You can still see the film in cinemas and an extended version of it will be streaming on Apple TV+ at a later date.
Saltburn: a new psychological thriller drama film written, directed and produced by Emerald Fennell. It stars Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Alison Oliver, Archie Madekwe and Carey Mulligan. Set in the mid-2000s, it follows a young college student who becomes infatuated with his aristocratic schoolmate and his wealthy but eccentric family. Saltburn had its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival on August 31 and was given a limited release on November 17, followed by a wide expansion on November 22. It was originally scheduled to be released on November 24, but was moved up a week to take advantage of the initial positive response it received at its Telluride premiere and boost its chances at awards season. So that’s also why it’s only in the Six To See now and not last week.
Family Switch: a new comedy film directed by McG, written by Adam Sztykiel and Victoria Strouse, and starring Jennifer Garner and Ed Helms as the parents alongside Emma Myers and Brady Noon as their children. It is based on the 2010 children’s book Bedtime for Mommy by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and follows the Walker family who one day switch bodies. The mom becomes the daughter and vice versa and the same happens with the dad and brother and the dog and baby. It’s a fun switching Christmas film for the whole family. The film was released on Netflix on November 30.

Thomas Howell, Eugene Kim, Paola Lázaro, and Kimi Rutledge. It follows an elite team, assembled from various branches of the US armed forces, to stop a deadly terrorist network from blowing up Las Vegas. They complete the mission and celebrate with a night on the town, filled with sex, drugs, and alcohol. They discover that the bomb they neutralized was fake, so the team must fight through their intoxication to find the real one and save the day. The series premiered on Netflix on November 30.
The Artful Dodger: a new series which is a spin-off featuring characters from the Charles Dickens classic book Oliver Twist (1838). It features Thomas Brodie-Sangster as the eponymous Artful Dodger and David Thewlis as Fagin. The eight-part series is created by James McNamara, David Maher and David Taylor. It is produced by Jeffrey Walker, who also directs some episodes. Also directing are Corrie Chen and Gracie Otto. The series premiered on Hulu in the US and on Disney+ in other countries on November 29.
