- Monkey Man: an upcoming action thriller film directed by Dev Patel in his feature directorial debut with a screenplay by Patel, Paul Angunawela and John Collee from a story by Patel. The film stars Dev Patel, Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sikandar Kher, Vipin Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar, Adithi Kalkunte, and Makarand Deshpande. It follows a recently released ex-felon living in India who struggles to adjust to a world of corporate greed and eroding spiritual values. Monkey Man is releasing in theatres on April 5.
- Ricky Stanicky: a new comedy film directed by Peter Farrelly and starring Zac Efron, John Cena, Jermaine Fowler, Andrew Santino, Lex Scott Davis and William H. Macy. It follows three longtime friends who invented Ricky Stanicky, the name of an imaginary character they use as someone to blame for their misbehavior over the past two decades. When their partners become suspicious and demand to meet Stanicky, they decide to hire a washed-up actor to bring the character to life. Ricky Stanicky is releasing on Prime Video on March 7.
- Despicable Me 4: the upcoming animated comedy film produced by Illumination which serves as the sequel to Despicable Me 3 (2017), the fourth main installment, and the sixth installment overall in the Despicable Me franchise. The film is being directed by Chris Renaud, co-directed by Patrick Delage (in his feature directorial debut), produced by Chris Meledandri and Brett Hoffman, and written by Mike White and Ken Daurio. It stars the voices of Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier, Madison Polan, Will Ferrell, Sofia Vergara, Joey King, Stephen Colbert, Chloe Fineman, Pierre Coffin, and Steve Coogan. In this fourth film Gru, the world’s favorite supervillain-turned-Anti-Villain League-agent, returns for an exciting, bold new era of Minions mayhem, alongside his wife and fellow Anti-Villain League-agent Lucy, their three adopted girls and the newest member to the Gru family, Gru Jr., who is intent on tormenting his dad. The family is forced to go on the run when they become targeted by escaped criminal Maxime Le Mal and his femme fatale girlfriend Valentina. The film is releasing in theatres on July 3.
- Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire: the upcoming supernatural comedy film directed by Gil Kenan, who co-wrote it with Jason Reitman. It is the sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) and the fifth film in the Ghostbusters franchise. The film stars Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Celeste O’Connor, Logan Kim, alongside Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and William Atherton reprising their characters from the earlier films, while Kumail Nanjiani and Patton Oswalt also join the cast. In the film, years after averting a dimensional crossrip in Summerville, Oklahoma, the veteran Ghostbusters must join forces with their new recruits to save the world in New York City from a powerful death-chilling adversary. It is the first film in the Ghostbusters franchise made without the involvement of Ivan Reitman, who directed the first two films and produced subsequent films until his death in February 2022. Frozen Empire will be dedicated to his memory and celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first Ghostbusters film. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is releasing in theatres on March 22.
- The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare: an upcoming action spy comedy film directed and co-written by Guy Ritchie, based on the 2014 book Churchill’s Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes of WWII by Damien Lewis. The film portrays a heavily fictionalized version of Operation Postmaster. It stars Henry Cavill, Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Henry Golding, Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusanmokun, and Til Schweiger. The film is releasing in theatres on April 19.
- Back To Black: an upcoming biographical drama film based on the life of British singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse, played by Marisa Abela. Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and written by Matt Greenhalgh, the film also stars Jack O’Connell, Eddie Marsan, and Lesley Manville. The film will delve into the life and career of Aly Winehouse, beginning with her early days in the early 2000s as a North London jazz musician and culminating in her rise to fame as a Grammy-winning singer with hit songs like “Rehab” and “Back to Black”. The film is releasing in theatres in the United Kingdom on April 12, and in the United States on May 17.
- Tarot: an upcoming supernatural horror film written and directed by Spenser Cohen and Anna Halberg (in their feature film directorial debut) and also co-written by Nicholas Adams. It’s based on a 1992 novel Horrorscope by Nicholas Adams and stars Harriet Slater, Adain Bradley, Avantika, and Jacob Batalon. The plot centers on a group of college friends who start dying in ways that are related to their fortunes after having their tarot cards read. Before their time runs out, they have to work together to uncover the mystery. The film is releasing theatres on May 10.
- Mary & George: an upcoming British historical drama miniseries created by D. C. Moore and directed by Oliver Hermanus, Alex Winckler and Florian Cossen. It’s based on Benjamin Woolley’s non-fiction book The King’s Assassin and stars Julianne Moore as Mary Villiers, Countess of Buckingham, and Nicholas Galitzine as George Villiers, 1st Duke of Buckingham. Also starring in the series are Tony Curran, Laurie Davidson, Nicola Walker, Niamh Algar, Trine Dyrholm, Sean Gilder, Adrian Rawlins, and Mark O’Halloran. The series is releasing on March 5 on Sky Atlantic in the United Kingdom and April 5 on Starz in the United States.
- Code 8 Part 2: the new Canadian science fiction action film serving as a sequel to the 2019 film Code 8. Directed by Jeff Chan, who co-wrote the screenplay with Chris Paré, Sherren Lee and Jesse LaVercombe, the film stars Robbie Amell and Stephen Amell who reprise their roles as Connor Reed and Garrett Kelton from the original film. Sirena Gulamgaus, Altair Vincent, Alex Mallari Jr., Moe Jeudy-Lamour, Aaron Abrams, and Jean Yoon also star. The film centers around the 4% of people living in fictional Lincoln City who possess special abilities. It follows the journey of a teenage girl fighting to get justice for her slain brother at the hands of corrupt police officers. After becoming a witness to the cover-up, she becomes a target and enlists the help of an ex-con and his former partner-in-crime. Code 8: Part II is releasing on Netflix on February 28.
- Longlegs: an upcoming American horror thriller film written and directed by Osgood Perkins. It stars Maika Monroe, Nicolas Cage, Alicia Witt and Blair Underwood. It follows Lee Harker, a new FBI agent, who has been assigned to an unsolved case of a serial killer. As the investigation becomes more complicated with occult evidence uncovered, Harker realizes a personal link to the killer and must act quickly to prevent another family murder. The film is releasing in theatres on July 12.
- Palm Royale: an upcoming period comedy miniseries created by Abe Sylvia and based on the novel Mr. & Mrs. American Pie by Juliet McDaniel. It stars Kristen Wiig, Laura Dern, Allison Janney, Leslie Bibb, Ricky Martin, Josh Lucas, Carol Burnett, and Amber Chardae Robinson. In the series we follow a woman who works towards attaining a place in Palm Beach high society. In the process she learns what she will and won’t do to achieve this. The series is premiering on Apple TV+ on March 20 with the first three episodes.
- Imaginary: an upcoming supernatural horror film directed and produced by Jeff Wadlow and written by Wadlow, Greg Erb and Jason Oremland. The film stars DeWanda Wise, Tom Payne, Taegen Burns, Pyper Braun, Veronica Falcón and Betty Buckley. It follows Jessica who returns to her childhood home with her family. There she finds her old stuffed bear, Chauncey, and sees that her youngest stepdaughter Alice has grown attached to it. After Alice’s behavior becomes concerning, and the games that she and Chauncey play turn increasingly sinister, Jessica starts realizing that Chauncey is much more than the stuffed bear she believed him to be for all those years. The film is releasing in theatres on March 8.
- Drive-Away Dolls: the upcoming comedy road film directed by Ethan Coen, who wrote the screenplay and edited the film with his wife Tricia Cooke. It is the debut of Coen as a solo director without the collaboration of his brother Joel. The film stars Margaret Qualley, Geraldine Viswanathan, Beanie Feldstein, Colman Domingo, Pedro Pascal, Bill Camp, and Matt Damon. This comedy caper follows Jamie, an uninhibited free spirit bemoaning yet another breakup with a girlfriend, and her demure friend Marian who desperately needs to loosen up. In search of a fresh start, the two embark on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee, but things quickly go awry when they cross paths with a group of inept criminals along the way. Drive-Away Dolls is releasing in theatres in the US and Canada on February 23 and in the UK on March 15, in Belgium it’s releasing in theatres on March 13.
- Love Lies Bleeding: the new romantic thriller film directed by Rose Glass from a screenplay she co-wrote with Weronika Tofilska. It stars Kristen Stewart, Katy O’Brian, Jena Malone, Anna Baryshnikov, Dave Franco, and Ed Harris. The film follows reclusive gym manager Lou who falls hard for Jackie, an ambitious bodybuilder headed through town to Vegas in pursuit of her dream. But their love ignites violence, pulling them deep into the web of Lou’s criminal family. Love Lies Bleeding premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last month and will be released in theatres in the US and Canada on March 8 and in the UK on April 19.
- A Quiet Place: Day One: the upcoming post-apocalyptic horror film written and directed by Michael Sarnoski, based on an original story by John Krasinski and Sarnoski. It is intended to be a spin-off prequel and the third overall installment of the A Quiet Place film series. The film stars Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, Djimon Hounsou, and Denis O’Hare. As the title suggests, it goes back to day one of the alien invasion, which Krasinski explored briefly in the opening flashback sequence of A Quiet Place: Part II. It follows Sam, a woman who’s on a day trip to New York City when the monsters arrive. As everything quickly goes to hell, she’s thrown together with a man named Eric. With some reluctance, the pair agree to navigate and survive the city together. The film is releasing in theatres on June 28.
- Knuckles Series: an upcoming miniseries created by John Whittington and Toby Ascher, based on the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. It is a spin-off of the film Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022), being part of the Sonic film series and it’s the first live-action series in the franchise overall. Idris Elba reprises his voice role as Knuckles the Echidna from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and stars alongside Adam Pally, reprising his role as Wade. Taking place between the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022) and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024), the series follows Knuckles the Echidna as he trains deputy sheriff Wade Whipple in the ways of the Echidna warrior. Knuckles is premiering on Paramount+ on April 26.
- Supersex: an upcoming Italian biographical drama series created and written by Francesca Manieri. It’s based on the life of Rocco Siffredi, a famous Italian pornographic film actor with Alessandro Borghi playing the role of Rocco. Also starring in the series are Jasmine Trinca, Adriano Giannini, Enrico Borello, Vincenzo Nemolato, Gaia Messerklinger, Jade Pedri, and Linda Caridi. The series will premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival later this month before releasing on Netflix on March 6.
- The Regime: an upcoming miniseries starring Kate Winslet, Martha Plimpton, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts and Hugh Grant. Will Tracy is writer, executive producer and showrunner on the series with Stephen Frears and Jessica Hobbs directing episodes and executive producing. Kate Winslet, Frank Rich and Tracey Seaward are also executive producers. The series depicts a year within the palace of a crumbling authoritarian regime with Kate Winslet in the lead role as the chancellor of a fictional Central European autocracy, who finds her position threatened by domestic turmoil. The Regime will premiere on HBO on March 3.
