  • Beetlejuice Beetlejuice: we got a first teaser for the upcoming sequel to Beetlejuice (1988). This fantasy horror comedy film is directed by Tim Burton from a screenplay by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, based on a story by Gough, Millar, and Seth Grahame-Smith. It stars Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara reprising their roles alongside new cast members Jenna Ortega, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Arthur Conti, and Willem Dafoe. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is releasing in theatres on September 6.
  • The Penguin: we also got a first teaser for the upcoming spin-off series from the film The Batman. This limited drama series is created by Lauren LeFranc and is based on the DC Comics character Penguin. Colin Farrell stars as the Penguin, reprising his role from The Batman, alongside Cristin Milioti. Taking place one week following the events of The Batman, the series explores the rise to power of Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot / Penguin in Gotham City’s criminal underworld. He is a disfigured crime lord and the former chief lieutenant of the late crime boss Carmine Falcone who is on the rise to becoming a criminal kingpin in his own right. Farrell said the series would further explore the character’s awkwardness, and his strength, and his villainy as well as the heartbroken man inside there beyond his introduction in The Batman. The Penguin is scheduled to be released on Max in late 2024 and will consist of eight episodes.
  • Under The Bridge: an upcoming true crime drama miniseries based on the book of the same name by Rebecca Godfrey. It follows the murder of Reena Virk,  a fourteen-year-old girl, who went to join friends at a party and never returned home. A woman enters the hidden world of the accused killers. Seven teenage girls and a boy were accused of the savage murder. Starring in the series are Riley Keough and Lily Gladstone. The series is premiering on Hulu in the US on April 17.
  • Bad Boys: Ride or Die: the upcoming buddy cop action comedy film directed by Belgian directors duo Adil & Bilall, which is the sequel to Bad Boys for Life (2020) and the fourth installment in the Bad Boys franchise. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back as Mike and Marcus, along with Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Núñez, DJ Khaled and Jacob Scipio reprising their roles from the previous film, and with Tasha Smith taking over the role of Theresa Burnett from Theresa Randle, who previously played the character in the last three films. New cast members include Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Rhea Seehorn, and Joyner Lucas. The world’s favourite Bad Boys are back with their iconic mix of edge-of-your-seat action and outrageous comedy but this time with a twist: Miami’s finest are on the run. The film is releasing in theatres on June 7.
  • Stress Positions: a new  comedy drama film directed by Theda Hammel. It stars John Early, Hammel, Qaher Harhash, Amy Zimmer, Faheem Ali, Rebecca F. Wright, Davidson Obennebo and John Roberts. The film is set during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic in Brooklyn and follows a Moroccan American young man named Bahlul, who recovers from a broken leg while quarantining with his uncle Terry. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and will premiere in theaters on April 19.
  • Unfrosted: a new comedy film directed by Jerry Seinfeld, in his feature film directorial debut, from a screenplay he co-wrote with his writing team of Spike Feresten, Barry Marder, and Andy Robin. Seinfeld and Feresten also serve as producers of the film alongside Beau Beauman, through their production company Columbus 81 Productions. The film stars an ensemble cast that includes Jerry Seinfeld, Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan, Amy Schumer, James Marsden, Jack McBrayer, Thomas Lennon, Bobby Moynihan, Maria Bakalova, Max Greenfield, Bill Burr, Dan Levy, Christian Slater, and Hugh Grant. This film is loosely based on the true story of the making of Pop Tarts and tells the story of Kellogg’s and Post Cereal competing to see if they can produce a revolutionary breakfast pastry in 1963 Michigan. The film is releasing on Netflix on May 3.
  • Them: The Scare: the second season of Them, the black horror anthology series, created by Little Marvin and executive produced by Lena Waithe. The series stars Deborah Ayorinde, who is returning in a new role in this new season. Also starring in this new season are Pam Grier, Luke James, Joshua J. Williams and Jeremy Bobb. Set in 1991, Them: The Scare centers on LAPD Detective Dawn Reeve, who is assigned to a new case: a gruesome murder that has left the most hardened detectives shaken. As Dawn draws closer to the truth, something malevolent grips her and her family. Them: The Scare will premiere on Prime Video on April 25.
