  • Bodkin: an upcoming dark comedy thriller series created by British writer Jez Scharf set in an Irish coastal town. Referred to as both Bodkin and On Record, the seven-episode series stars Will Forte in the lead role as Gilbert Power, an American podcaster looking to discover his Irish roots. Also starring in the series are Siobhán Cullen, Robyn Cara, David Wilmot, and Chris Walley. It follows a group of podcasters whoset out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three strangers in an idyllic Irish town. But when they start to pull the strings, they find a story much bigger and stranger than they could have imagined. Bodkin is releasing on Netflix on May 9.
  • Cuckoo: a new  psychological horror film written and directed by Tilman Singer. It stars Hunter Schafer in the lead role as 17-year-old Gretchen who leaves her American home to live with her father, who has just moved into a resort in the German Alps with his new family. Arriving at their future residence, they are greeted by Mr. König, her father’s boss, who takes an inexplicable interest in Gretchen’s mute half-sister Alma. Something doesn’t seem right in this tranquil vacation paradise. Gretchen is plagued by strange noises and bloody visions until she discovers a shocking secret that also concerns her own family. Also starring in the film are Dan Stevens and Jessica Henwick. Cuckoo had its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival earlier this year and is releasing in theatres in Germany on July 18 and in the United States on August 9.
  • Dead Boy Detectives: an upcoming supernatural horror detective-comedy series developed by Steve Yockey based on the DC Comics characters of the same name by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner. It’s set in the same universe as The Sandman and stars George Rexstrew as Edwin Payne and Jayden Revri as Charles Rowland, two dead boys who decided not to enter the afterlife and stay on Earth and investigate crimes that involve the supernatural. Also starring are Kassius Nelson, Briana Cuoco, Ruth Connell, Yuyu Kitamura and Jenn Lyon. Additionally, Kirby Howell-Baptiste is set to reprise her role as Death from The Sandman. The series is releasing on Netflix on April 25.
  • Turtles All The Way Down: an upcoming romantic drama film based on the 2017 novel of the same name by John Green. The film is directed by Hannah Marks from a screenplay by Elizabeth Berger and Isaac Aptaker, and stars Isabela Merced in the lead role as Aza Holmes, a 16-year-old with obsessive–compulsive disorder. She reconnects with her childhood crush and confronts the possibility of finding love and happiness in the face of mental illness. Also starring are Cree Cicchino, Felix Mallard, Judy Reyes, Maliq Johnson, J. Smith-Cameron, Poorna Jagannathan and Hannah Marks. The film is releasing on Max on May 2.
  • Janet Planet: a new drama film written and directed by Annie Baker in her feature directorial debut. It stars Julianne Nicholson, Zoe Ziegler, Elias Koteas, Sophie Okonedo, and Will Patton. Set in rural Western Massachusetts, the film follows 11-year-old Lacy who spends the summer of 1991 at home, enthralled by her own imagination and the attention of her mother, Janet. As the months pass, three visitors enter their orbit, all captivated by Janet and her spellbinding nature. In her solitary moments, Lacy inhabits an inner world so extraordinarily detailed that it begins to seep into the outside world. It premiered at the Telluride Film Festival last year and also screened at the 2023 New York Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival earlier this year. The film is releasing in theatres in the United States on June 21.
  • Babes: a new comedy film directed by Pamela Adlon in her feature directorial debut. It’s written by Ilana Glazer and Josh Rabinowitz with Ilana Glazer also starring in the film alongside Michelle Buteau, John Carroll Lynch, Hasan Minhaj, Stephan James, Oliver Platt, Sandra Bernhard, and twin brothers Kenny and Keith Lucas. Glazer stars as Eden, an aggressively single woman, who gets pregnant from a one-night stand. She turns to her best friend Dawn, a married mother of two, for help. The film is releasing in theatres on May 17.
