- Deadpool & Wolverine: the upcoming superhero film based on the Marvel Comics characters Deadpool and Wolverine, which is a sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). The film is directed by Shawn Levy from a screenplay he wrote with Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. Reynolds and Hugh Jackman star as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, alongside Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen. In the film, the Time Variance Authority (TVA) pulls Deadpool from his quiet life and sets him on a mission with Wolverine that will change the history of the MCU. The film is releasing in theatres on July 26.
- The Watchers: an upcoming supernatural horror film written and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan, the daughter of director M. Night Shyamalan, making her feature directorial debut. It’s based on the novel of the same name by A. M. Shine and stars Dakota Fanning, Georgina Campbell, Oliver Finnegan, and Olwen Fouéré. We follow 28-year-old artist Mina who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. Upon finding shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night. The film is releasing in theatres on June 7.
- Atlas: a new science fiction action thriller film directed by Brad Peyton and written by Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite. The film stars Jennifer Lopez, Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, and Mark Strong. It follows Atlas Shepherd, a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence. She joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. When plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it. Atlas is releasing on Netflix on May 24.
- Blink Twice: an upcoming psychological black comedy-thriller film directed by Zoë Kravitz in her directorial debut, from a screenplay she co-wrote with E.T. Feigenbaum. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Naomi Ackie, Channing Tatum, Christian Slater, Simon Rex, Adria Arjona, Kyle MacLachlan, Haley Joel Osment, Geena Davis, and Alia Shawkat. It follows a cocktail waitress who becomes infatuated with a tech mogul, and travels with him to his private island, where things begin to go wrong. Blink Twice is releasing in theatres on August 23.
- The Big Cigar: an upcoming biographical drama thriller miniseries developed by Jim Hecht, based on the 2012 Playboy article of the same name by Joshuah Bearman. It chronicles the manhunt for Huey P. Newton, the founder of the Black Panther Party, who seeks the help of film producer Bert Schneider as he tries to escape to Cuba. Starring in the series are André Holland, Tiffany Boone, Alessandro Nivola, Marc Menchaca and P. J. Byrne. The series will premiere on Apple TV+ on May 17.
- Touch: an upcoming romantic drama film directed by Baltasar Kormákur, written by Kormákur and Ólafur Jóhann Ólafsson, and produced by Kormákur, Agnes Johansen, and Mike Goodridge. The film is based on Ólafsson’s 2022 novel of the same name and stars Egill Ólafsson, Kōki, and Palmi Kormakur. It follows a widower who tries to find his first love 50 years after she disappeared. Touch is releasing in theatres on July 12.
- Clipped: an upcoming documentary drama sports series created by Gina Welch and starring Laurence Fishburne, Jacki Weaver, Cleopatra Coleman, and Ed O’Neill. It probes a notorious NBA owner’s racist remarks, captured on a tape heard around the world. Based on the hit ESPN 30 for 30 podcast The Sterling Affairs, this limited series charts the collision between a dysfunctional basketball organization and even less-functional marriage, and the precipitating tape’s impact on an ensemble of characters striving to win against the backdrop of the most cursed team in the league. It chronicles the downfall of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, amid the team’s drive to win a championship under coach Doc Rivers. The series, which consists of six episodes, will premiere on Hulu on June 4.
- Prom Dates: an upcoming coming-of-age comedy film directed by Kim Nguyen, written by D.J. Mausner, and starring Julia Lester and Antonia Gentry in the lead roles. They play best friends Hannah and Jess,who make a pact to have the best prom ever. However, when they unexpectedly break up with their dates, they must find new dates before prom begins. Prom Dates is releasing on Hulu on May 3.
