- Venom: The Last Dance: the third and probably last superhero film following the Marvel Comics character Venom. It’s the sequel to Venom (2018) and Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) and the fifth film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU). Written and directed by Kelly Marcel, the film stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock and Venom, alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham. It follows Eddie and Venom who become wanted fugitives. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will determine the fate of their partnership and even their lives. The film is releasing in theatres on October 25.
- Land of Women: an upcoming comedy drama thriller series. It was created by Ramón Campos, inspired by award-winning author Sandra Barneda’s bestselling novel. The series stars Eva Longoria, Carmen Maura, Santiago Cabrera, Gloria Muñoz and Victoria Bazua. It follows a woman who is forced to flee with her mother and daughter to Spain after her husband disappears in the wake of his financial dealings unraveling. The series is premiering on Apple TV+ on June 26.
- Alien: Romulus: the upcoming science fiction horror film, which is the seventh installment in the Alien franchise. It is set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986) and is directed by Fede Álvarez, who co-wrote it with Rodo Sayagues. It stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu. The story concerns a group of young space colonists who, while scavenging a derelict space station, come face to face with the most terrifying life form in their universe. The film is releasing in theatres on August 16.
- MaXXXine: the upcoming slasher film written and directed by Ti West. It is the final installment of the X trilogy, following X and Pearl. The film stars Mia Goth, who reprises her role as Maxine (and also serves as producer), alongside Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, Halsey, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon. In the film we follow Maxine who, after surviving a massacre, moves to Los Angeles in the early 1980s to pursue her dreams of becoming a famous actress, but is soon stalked by a killer in Hollywood. MaXXXine is releasing in theatres on July 5.
- The Killer’s Game: an upcoming action comedy film directed by J. J. Perry and written by Rand Ravich and James Coyne, based on the 1997 novel of the same name by Jay Bonansinga. It stars Dave Bautista, Ben Kingsley, Sofia Boutella, Terry Crews, Pom Klementieff, Scott Adkins and Drew McIntyre. We follow Joe Flood, a veteran assassin who fends off a hit he placed on himself after learning the terminal medical diagnosis he received was incorrect. The film is releasing in theatres on September 13.
- A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder: an upcoming British series based on the Holly Jackson novel of the same name, adapted by Poppy Cogan and directed by Dolly Wells. It stars Emma Myers in the lead role as Pippa (Pip) Fitz-Amobi. She isn’t satisfied that the killing of a local school girl has been investigated enough and takes matters into her own hands, via producing her EPQ on the topic. The first season of the series will consist of six 45-minute episodes covering the events of the first book. If the series is renewed, later seasons plan to cover the other two books. However, executive producer Frith Tiplady also stressed that the first season has a real end. The series is set to release on July 1 on BBC iPlayer in the UK and will be released in Germany, Australia and New Zealand as well, but as for now the dates are unknown. On April 22 Netflix has announced that it will release the seris as streaming in the US later this year after releasing in the UK.
