Emilia Perez, The Brutalist and Shogun are big winners at Golden Globes

The award season officially started last night with the Golden Globes. The best films and series of the past year were celebrated during the show hosted by Nikki Glaser. The big winners at the film side were Emilia Perez and The Brutalist, with the former winning four and the latter winning three awards.

The Substance also won a Golden Globe with Demi Moore taking home the award. This is her first big prize in her career. Fernanda Torres was a surprise winner in the best drama actress category, winning the award 26 years after her mother, Fernanda Montenegro, was nominated for the same one.

At the series side Shogun was the big winner with four awards, while Hacks and Baby Reindeer both won two of them. Colin Farrell took home a Golden Globe for his role in The Penguin and The Bear only won one Golden Globe for Best male actor in a television series – musical or comedy for Jeremy Allen White.
