Heart Eyes: a new romantic slasher film directed by Josh Ruben and written by Phillip Murphy, Christopher Landon (who also produces), and Michael Kennedy. The film stars Olivia Holt, Mason Gooding, Gigi Zumbado, Michaela Watkins, Devon Sawa, and Jordana Brewster. It follows the “Heart Eyes Killer” who has wreaked havoc on Valentine’s Day for the past several years by stalking and murdering romantic couples. This Valentine’s Day, no couple is safe. Heart Eyes was released in theatres on February 7 and already received generally positive reviews from critics and has grossed 10 million dollars worldwide so far.
Kinda Pregnant: a new comedy film directed by Tyler Spindel, and written by Julie Paiva and Amy Schumer. It stars Schumer alongside Jillian Bell, Brianne Howey, Lizze Broadway, and Will Forte. The film follows Lainy whose plan to settle down and start a family falls apart. She puts on a fake baby bump, tells a lie, and accidentally falls for her dream guy. Kinda Pregnant was released on Netflix on February 5.
Invincible season 3: the third season of the adult animated superhero series created by Robert Kirkman, which is based on the Image Comics comic book series of the same name he co-created with Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley. The series follows teenager Mark Grayson and his transformation into a superhero under the guidance of his father, Nolan Grayson / Omni-Man, the most powerful superhero on the planet. During his transformation, Mark finds himself struggling between his personal life and superhero duties, and is forced to prove that he can be the hero that his father is, unaware that there’s a sinister conspiracy going on that threatens the world, and will leave him questioning the true nature of his role. Steven Yeun stars in the series as Mark Grayson / Invincible alongside Sandra Oh and J. K. Simmons as Mark’s mother and father, respectively. The second season was divided into two parts, with the second part released from March to April 2024, and now the third season is here with the three first episodes released on Prime Video on February 6. The rest of the episodes are releasing weekly. Three months after the second-season finale, Invincible was renewed for a fourth season.
Apple Cider Vinegar: a new Australian drama limited series written and created by Samantha Strauss and based on The Woman Who Fooled the World by Beau Donelly and Nick Toscano. It stars Kaitlyn Dever and Alycia Debnam-Carey as wellness guru Belle Gibson and her friend Milla, respectively, who both use their platforms to promote alternative medicine. Gibson fools her following and the world with a fake cancer diagnosis, while Milla convinces her mother to join her in eschewing scientifically prescribed medical treatment. Also starring in the series are Aisha Dee, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Mark Coles Smith, Ashley Zukerman, Phoenix Raei, Susie Porter, Matt Nable, Catherine McClements, Essie Davis, and Chai Hansen. Apple Cider Vinegar was released on Netflix on February 6.
Love Hurts: a new action comedy film directed by Jonathan Eusebio, in his directorial debut, and written by Matthew Murray, Josh Stoddard, and Luke Passmore. The film stars Ke Huy Quan, Ariana DeBose, Daniel Wu, Marshawn Lynch, Mustafa Shakir, Lio Tipton, Rhys Darby, André Eriksen, and Sean Astin. It follows a former hitman-turned-realtor who learns that his brother is hunting him when he reunites with his former partner. Love Hurts was released in theatres on February 7.
Cassandra: a new German science fiction thriller series written and directed by Benjamin Gutsche. It follows Cassandra, voiced by Lavinia Wilson, an electronic domestic helper developed in the 1970s, who is re-employed when a family moves into a house that has been unoccupied for 50 years. Also starring in the series are Mina Tander, Michael Klammer, Franz Hartwig, Mary Tölle, and Joshua Kantara. Cassandra was released on Netflix on February 6.

Captain America: Brave New World: the new Marvel film which is the first Captain America film not starring Chris Evans as the superhero. The film is based on Marvel Comics featuring the character Sam Wilson / Captain America and is a continuation of the miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021). It’s directed by Julius Onah and stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Captain America alongside Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Xosha Roquemore, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford. In the film, Wilson finds himself at the center of an international incident. Captain America: Civil War (2016) ended the Captain America trilogy starring Evans as Steve Rogers, and Wilson became the new Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Now he has his own film. Captain America: Brave New World was released in theatres on February 14.
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy: the new romantic comedy film, which is the sequel to Bridget Jones’s Baby (2016) and the fourth installment in the Bridget Jones film series. It’s directed by Michael Morris from a screenplay by Helen Fielding, Dan Mazer and Abi Morgan, and is based on the 2013 novel by Fielding. Renée Zellweger, Hugh Grant, Colin Firth and Emma Thompson reprise their roles as Bridget Jones, Daniel Cleaver, Mark Darcy and Doctor Rawlings, respectively, from previous installments, with Chiwetel Ejiofor, Leo Woodall, Isla Fisher, Josette Simon, Nico Parker and Leila Farzad joining the cast. The film follows Bridget Jones who navigates life as a widow and single mum with the help of her family, friends, and former lover, Daniel. Back to work and on the apps, she’s pursued by a younger man and maybe – just maybe – her son’s science teacher. Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy was first released in theatres in France on February 12, in the United States on the streaming service Peacock on February 13, and internationally in theaters on February 14.
Yellowjackets season 3: the third season of the horror thriller drama series created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson. The story follows a group of teenagers involved in a 1996 plane crash, and follows the consequences of the event in their adult lives in the year 2021. It stars an ensemble cast led by Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Liv Hewson, and Courtney Eaton as a group of teenagers. The adult version of the characters are performed by Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci, Lauren Ambrose, and Simone Kessell. Ella Purnell, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole, Kevin Alves and Sarah Desjardins also star. After what happened in the second season, which took place in winter, now it’s springtime and the girls will have to see to survive even longer in the wilderness. In the present the group of women will have to live with the consequences of what happened in season 2. This third season of Yellowjackets premiered on February 14 on Paramount+ with Showtime and is broadcasted two days later on Showtime.
The Gorge: a new science fiction horror action film directed by Scott Derrickson and written by Zach Dean. It stars Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy in the lead roles, alongside Sigourney Weaver, Sope Dirisu and William Houston. The film follows two highly-trained operatives who become close after being sent to protect opposite sides of a mysterious gorge. When an evil emerges, they must work together to survive what lies within. The Gorge was released on Apple TV+ on February 14.
The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep: a new adult animated fantasy drama film set in The Witcher universe. It was directed by Kang Hei Chul and written by Mike Ostrowski and Rae Benjamin. Doug Cockle is back voicing Geralt of Rivia as he had in the video game series, along with Joey Batey and Anya Chalotra reprising their live action roles from The Witcher as Jaskier and Yennefer of Vengerberg. Also in the film are Christina Wren as Essi Daven and Emily Carey as Sh’eenaz. It follows Geralt, who is hired to probe seaside village attacks. He unravels an age-old conflict between humans and sea people that threatens war between kingdoms. Aided by allies, he must solve the mystery before hostilities escalate. The film was released on Netflix on February 11.
Cobra Kai season 6 part 3: the very last episodes of the martial arts comedy drama series were released on February 13 meaning the end of the series. Cobra Kai was created by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, and serves as a sequel to the original The Karate Kid films created by Robert Mark Kamen. Ralph Macchio and William Zabka reprised their respective roles as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence from the film series, alongside Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni DeCenzo, Peyton List, Vanessa Rubio, and Dallas Dupree Young. Martin Kove and Thomas Ian Griffith also reprised their roles from the films as part of the main cast, with many others returning in guest or recurring roles.
