Last night all the big film stars came together in London for the BAFTA Film Awards. David Tennant, known from Doctor Who, was back as the host. The big winners of the night were Conclave and The Brutalist with the former winning the top prize of Best Film. The latter won leading actor for Adrien Brody and director for Corbet.
Besides these two films, other ones also won prizes. Emilia Pérez, Wicked, A Real Pain, Dune: Part Two, Anora and Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl each got two BAFTA awards. Kneecap and The Substance both took one award home. The one major snub of the night was the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, which didn’t manage to land any of its six nominations.
There was also the special Rising Star Award which was won by David Jonsson, who played in the blockbuster Alien: Romulus. And there was the Fellowship BAFTA who went to Warwick Davis this year.
