Six To See December 2025:

  1. Stranger Things season 5: The first four episodes of season 5 of Stranger Things are already out, but the rest of the season is coming this month, on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. The fifth and last season of Stranger Things has already been a big success and is already one of the most viewed seasons on Netflix. The next three episodes are releasing on Christmas Day and the series finale, which is two hours long and will also be screened in several theatres in the US and Canada is releasing on New Year’s Eve.
  1. Avatar: Fire and Ash: these past few months there were some great movies that were released and one of the last big blockbusters coming out is the next Avatar. Avatar: Fire and Ash is the third movie in the franchise and a sequel to Avatar: The Way of Water. It’s directed by James Cameron and most of the cast of the previous movies are reprising their roles. Just like the previous Avatar-movie Fire and Ash is more than three hours long. The movie is releasing in theatres on December 19.
  1. Fallout season 2: several series are coming back with a second season this month, including Fallout. The first season of the post-apocalyptic series was a big hit when it was released last year and a lot of people are looking forward to season 2. Fallout is created by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, and is based on the role-playing video game franchise created by Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky. Ella Purnell wil be back as Lucy, alongside Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, and Walton Goggins. Season 2 of Fallout is premiering on Prime Video on December 17. The series has already been renewed for a third season.
  1. Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2: another popular series coming back with a second season this month is Percy Jackson and the Olympians. This fantasy series was released in December 2023 and was a big success. It’s created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, based on the book series of the same name by Riordan. While the first season was adapting The Lightning Thief, season 2 adapts The Sea of Monsters. Walker Scobell stars as Percy Jackson, alongside Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood. Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is premiering on Disney+ on December 10. The series has already been renewed for a third season, which is set to adapt The Titan’s Curse.
  1. The Housemaid: Besides the new Avatar-film there are some other movies that are releasing this month and that are worth watching. One of them is The Housemaid, the psychological thriller film directed by Paul Feig and based on the 2022 novel of the same name by Freida McFadden. It stars Sydney Sweeney as a young woman with a troubled past who becomes the live-in housemaid for a wealthy family. However, their seemingly perfect life unravels when she discovers their household hides dark secrets beneath the surface. It also stars Amanda Seyfried, Brandon Sklenar, Michele Morrone, and Elizabeth Perkins. The Housemaid is being released in theatres on December 19 in the US and on December 24 in Belgium and several other countries.
  1. Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft season 2: one more series that has its second season releasing this month is Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. This animated action adventure series is based on the Tomb Raider video game series by Crystal Dynamics, and stars Hayley Atwell as the voice of Lara Croft. The series is set in the same continuity as the Survivor trilogy that started in 2013, and takes place after the events of the 2018 game Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The first season was released last year and is coming back on December 11 with the second season, which was confirmed to be the last one.
