International stars at Filmfestival Oostende on day 3 (Sunday Jan 28)

The first weekend of the Filmfestival of Ostend is already over. It ended on Sunday January 28 with the gala premiere of The Couple Next Door, the newest series directed by Belgian director Dries Vos and starring Sam Heughan, Eleanor Tomlinson, Alfred Enoch and Jessica De Gouw. Dries Vos along with Sam and Eleanor were present in Ostend for the premiere of their new series that already aired in the UK and will be on Belgian TV on VTM very soon. Belgian actor Aimé Claeys, who has a small role in the series, and Master of this edition of FFO Gene Bervoets were also there. During the premiere they showed the first two episodes. I was there and saw those two episodes and I’m very intrigued. I can’t wait to see the rest of the episodes.

Earlier in the evening Sam and Eleanor were welcomed by a lot of fans at the Walk of Fame where the two actors received a star. People from all over Europe came to Ostend to see their favorite stars, especially Sam who you might know from Outlander. Sam and Eleanor, who have been in Belgium before to shoot a part of The Couple Next Door, were both very happy with their star.

This whole week a lot of amazing new films and series are premiering at Filmfestival Oostende. Today on Monday January 29 there is Quitter La Nuit, tomorrow the new series Juliet is premiering, on Wednesday we have the Danish actress Trine Dyrholm who will get a star and present her new film Birthday Girl, on Thursday Italian actress Paola Cortellesi is coming and the new series Styx is premiering and on Friday night the online awards The Jamies are happening. Everything ends on Saturday night with the Ensors, the big Belgian film and TV awards. So a lot to look forward to this week. And I will take you all with me so keep an eye out on Six To See.
